Easter Basket Goodies

I am super excited for Easter this year, especially because it seems like Michigan weather is going to be warming up for some outdoor fun! We typically have brunch with my mom and siblings and have dinner with Andrew's family, so we're always busy, but I'm hoping to find time for a little Easter egg hunt and lollipop picking with Layla.

I've had a lot of fun finding things to put in her basket this year, since her sassy little personality is shining through and we're figuring out her likes and dislikes. I don't mind giving her snack foods once in a while, but I'm not the type to spend money on toys she'll never play with or a bunch of junk food her Andrew and I will probably end up eating. (Let's be real, I've done it once or twice.) So this year, I was on a mission to pack her basket full of worthwhile goodies.

I stuffed her basket with some new pajamas, a new set of alphabet magnets (she's obsessed with ripping the magnets off of the refrigerator and throwing them to the floor), Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and Pat the Bunny (both of these are on the list of Top 100 Children's Books of All Time that I've been diligently working towards collecting), a set of Easter nesting dolls, a sippy cup, some bubbles, and Little Chirpers Sorting Eggs.

I found some tiny bottles of our favorite Piggy Paint to put in some of her eggs, along with a ton of Annie's Homegrown fruit snacks, grahams, and cheese crackers for her snacks. Layla's lips have been super chapped lately, so I've been putting my chap stick on her, and she loves it! I give it to her to play with and she'll try to put it on herself. It's adorable. So, I felt a little nostalgic as I grabbed her a pack of Bonnie Bell Lip Smackers to stuff in her eggs. I was super bummed when I realized they wouldn't fit in them...so they're hiding in her nesting dolls instead.

What are some things you put in your eggs and Easter baskets? I'm asking the Easter Bunny for a gorgeous vase from Anthropologie that I've had my eye on...and I won't be mad at him if he fills it with Cadbury caramel eggs.
